A new category of membership has been created by AIFD aimed at providing smaller industry suppliers an affordable opportunity to support the work of AIFD while capitalizing on the dynamic professional floral designer market segment.

A special AIFD task force met in Miami over a weekend in April
to work on the continued development of an initiative to launch
a Certified Floral Designer (CFD) program aimed at expanding
the education of floral designers while simultaneously recognizing
those who demonstrate proficiencies in
the art of floral design.

Membership Fees to be Adjusted
After a first go-round in which all members needed to include a $75 fee with their tri-annual report of the fulfillment of their continuing education requirement, the AIFD National Board of Directors, on the recommendation of the Finance Committee, has agreed to eliminate this fee in the future by replacing it with a $20 increase to membership fees.
