For instance, if you are looking for an AIFD member designer in and around Chicago, you may want to only enter Illinois in the state field and leave the other fields blank. The results will include designers in Chicago as well as nearby cities such as Springfield.

Also, if a name is not keyed in exactly as it is recorded with AIFD, you may get an error when trying to locate an individual. Often it is better just to enter the last name of a designer you are looking for. For instance, if you searced for D. Wayne Jones as "Wayne Jones" you would get an error message, but if you typed in only "D. Wayne" you would find D. Wayne's listing.
