Alison
Novak AIFD
of Flora Scape in Springfield, IL, writes that changing with
the times has kept our business fresh and interesting. Listening
intently and never underestimating our clients has helped our
business flourish. This mantra has helped Alison pick up on
the following Midwest Wedding Trends:
Bridal
Bouquets That gathered or European cluster
bouquet still reigns, its hot to give a slight flowing
cascade to the bouquet with fabulous foliage like Smilax or
Stephanotis on the vine. Stems are wrapped with exquisite ribbons
and adorned with beading and other accouterments that transform
the handle into not just another piece of jewelry.
Martha started it for us and its a welcome style as we
can turn these luscious designs out quickly.
Ceremon
The emphasis has returned to the nuptials. Clients are going
back to the beginning where the ceremony and closeness of family
and religion are such an important element. They want their
sanctum to be exquisite and show the uniqueness of their style.
Celebration
In a Floral Studio where planning is complete with diagramming
the ballroom, the death of the One sided Bridal Table
has given us many more options. Again our couples are more in-tune
with family and friends and less with being On Stage.
