The Technique Series
The Bouquet Experience
The Bouquet Experience is a 4-hour hands-on workshop on advanced construction of handheld bouquets for weddings. The class covers the development process of using the elements and principles of design applying the step-by-step process from start to finish. The choice of colors, form, design style and mechanics is discussed. You will look at applications and techniques that include decorative wire trends, gluing techniques, along with accents. The techniques used are applied to armatures and bouquet holder construction during the course.
The Hand-Tied Experience
The Hand-Tied Experience is a 4-hour hands-on workshop on advanced construction of hand-tied bouquets. Whether the bouquets are placed into a container or carried down the aisle the four types of hand-tied construction is discussed. The class covers the development process of using the elements and principles of design applying the step-by-step process from start to finish. The choice of colors, form, design style and mechanics are discussed. You will look at applications and techniques that include the assembly processes, binding methods, and the design styles. The techniques used are applied to create interest and creativity to the design technique. Basic tools are required for this class.
The Body Flower Experience
The Body Flower Experience is a 4-hour hands-on workshop on advanced construction of body flowers. The class covers the development process of using the elements and principles of design applying the step-by-step process from start to finish. The choice of colors, form, design style and mechanics are discussed. You will look at applications and techniques that include the assembly processes, gluing techniques and the design styles. The techniques used are applied to create interest and creativity to the design technique. Basic tools and jewelry making tools are required for this class.
The Photography Experience
The Photography Experience is a 4-hour hands-on workshop on advanced design application for photography. These techniques can be applied to designs you feature on your website to print advertising and display. The class covers the development process of using the adjustment of elements and principles of design to enhance the photo and to apply the step-by-step process from start to finish. The choice of lighting, colors, form, design style and mechanics are discussed to best suit photography. You will need to bring your own digital camera to use in class along with basic tools.
The Design Style Series
The Abstract Experience
The Abstract Experience is a 4-hour hands-on workshop on advanced abstract design. The overview of abstract design history and how it is applied to floral design is discussed. The class covers the development process of using the elements and principles of design applying the step-by-step process from start to finish. From the stem placements, to the use of space, the unusual forms and the use of color and texture is applied to the non-realistic qualities of abstract design. The use of creative applications and your imagination is focus in your creative designs. You will need to bring your basic tools.
The Formalinear Experience
The Formalinear Experience is a 4-hour hands-on workshop on advanced formalinear design. The unique characteristics of this design style defines the uniqueness of this floral art. The class covers the development process of using the elements and principles of design applying the step-by-step process from start to finish. You will learn the generous use of negative space, how to define groupings, create bold forms, clean lines and develop strong contrasts. The use of this design style reflects the generous appearance in perceived value of the design. You will need to bring your basic tools.
The Parallel Experience
The Parallel Experience is a 4-hour hands-on workshop on advanced parallel design. The unique characteristics of this design style defines the uniqueness of this floral art. The class covers the development process of using the elements and principles of design applying the step-by-step process from start to finish. You will learn the proper stem placements, how to define your groupings, the use of space and the techniques involved with proper basing. New Convention design style will also be demonstrated. You will need your basic tools.
