Philadelphia Flower Show Volunteers Needed
Attending the Show? We Need your help!
If you are one of the many NERC Members coming to Philadelphia for the flower show, we need your help! We hope to have at least 2 AIFD members at the exhibit during show hours to talk to visitors, answer any questions they may have, and promote our mission through AIFD in the art of floral design.
During the set-up on March 1st and 2nd, we also need volunteers to help with anything that needs done on the exhibit to finish on time. If you plan on attending anytime during the set-up or show week, and can spare a few hours to help out, please contact Theresa Colucci at 845-255-3866 at her shop, or email her at Meadowscent@msn.com. CFA Hosts Spectacular Weekend
There is something for everyone at the upcoming Northeast Floral Expo. From design programs to design competitions, business clinics and workshops, a trade fair and an evening of celebrating with friends, you will want to be part of this exciting and educational event. Floral Judges Needed for Northeast Floral Expo 2012
The CFA is looking for some fresh new faces to serve as judges at the design competitions at the Northeast Floral Expo. A judging fee will be paid, along with free lunch and entrance to the show.
Anyone interested in helping judge that plans on attending NEFE, please contact either Robin Weir at 860-543-2104, or Tony Palmeri at 860-389-2113 as soon as possible.
Upcoming AIFD Workshops in our Region
March 24-25, 2012 at Philadelphia Pennock Wholesale
The AIFD Education Program is conducting 2 hands-on workshops in Philadelphia on March 24 and 25th. Accomplished Designer Tim Farrell AIFD PFCI is the Instructor for both workshops. The 1st session is on everyday and sympathy designs, the 2nd session covers personal flowers to wear or carry. Pennock Wholesale Florist in Philadelphia is the location of this event.

Jane Godshalk AIFD article was in the Jan/Feb 2012 Issue of 'Green Scene', which is published by The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS). Jane Godshalk AIFD will be one of our featured designers at the show, working together with Cres Motzi AIFD.
NERC Memorial Scholarship Application
"Imagine" is now a fond memory, and plans are well underway for the 2012 Symposium "Caliente," which will take place in Miami, Fla. on July 12-16, 2012. If you know of a promising floral student or intuitive designer who would like to attend the next Symposium, recommend to them to apply for our Memorial Scholarship. If they are a 1st time attendee and are not already CFD or AIFD designated, they are eligible to apply.
Our new Scholarship Liaison is Mary Robinson. Click here to download the application. Please follow the application instructions, and return the completed application to Mary. The applications are due by March 1, 2012.
NERC Chapter Pins Available
If you do not already own our chapter pin, they are still available to purchase. Members have been requesting information on how to acquire one. The beautiful gold colored pin represents our chapter with a spray of acorns and oak leaves, which are prevalent throughout the entire Northeast region. The pin is approximately 1" W x 3/4" H.
