During its April meeting in Baltimore, the AIFD National Board of Directors unanimously agreed to waive retired members from having to meet the membership continuing education requirement.

Retired Members are must be fully retired from the work force and be at least 65 years of age. Their dues are one-half (½) of those for Active Accredited members, and they can use the AIFD addendum with their name.

With the April decision of the National Board, the requirement of continuing education is waived for Retired Members; except in the event that a Retired Member returns to work in the floral industry in any capacity, in that case the member will be responsible for earing 25 CE units within one year and reporting such to AIFD or forfeit his or her membership.
