Feature Your Photo in the Online Directory!
Exciting New Benefit for AIFD Members
As a special new benefit, members of AIFD can now have their photograph added to their online listing. But, as you will see below, we need every member's help to make it work.
Any member who would like to have a self-photograph included with his or her online listing needs to send AIFD a new picture. The picture must meet the following specifications:
- It must be sent electronically.
- It must be in a .jpeg format only.
- It should be a professional-looking head-and-shoulders shot only. AIFD staff will crop out anything else.
- It should be a full-color (preferred) picture.
Please note - Presently, AIFD only puts business addresses online. For security purposes, effective December 1, no one will be featured online unless the following steps are taken!
- Click here to update your information online.
- Login by entering your e-mail address that we have on file for you and your password.
- On top of the new page, click on "My Profile."
- Scroll down the page until you read the Addresses box. You may have one or two addresses. For each - VERY IMPORTANT - CLICK ON "edit." Then when the box states "Please edit address," assuming your address is correct (if not, make the changes).
At
the bottom of the edit address block you'll see "Address Type" with several options.
Select ALL that apply to that respective address. For example, your business address might be your mailing address and the address you want listed on the Web site. You should click the box that says "business," the one that says "mailing" and the one that says "website posting." When you save the record (see last sentence below) and look at your record again, there will be three listings under address. The address will be the same for all three listings, but one will say business, one will say mailing and one will say website posting. If you see a DIFFERENT address in the list and it is your home and it says home, then you do not need to edit it.
EVERYONE should have at least three listings when you are finished... a business address, a mailing address and a website address. The address for all may or may not be the same, but there should be three listings. If you provide your home address, there will be four listings. You must make sure you click the continue button in the address box and at the bottom of the next screen, click the SAVE MY PROFILE button. If everything was done correctly, it will say "Your profile has been updated."
- Here's the really CRITICAL PART - if you DO NOT check "Web Posting" by one of your addresses, effective December 1, you will no longer be listed on the AIFD Web site.
We urge you to take advantage of this great marketing benefit given to you by AIFD. Help us make it work for you. Send your picture as requested and also make sure that you've confirmed your address(es) and which is for mailing, business, Web site posting and home. Only then will you be listed online at.
