AIFD Education

AIFD and its members are in the forefront of the floral industry in presenting educational opportunities in floral design!

Education has always been a core value of AIFD. It is stressed at every AIFD function -- locally, regionally and nationally.

Floral designers can show their commitment to floral design education and level of knowledge by pursuing accreditation in floral design.

Student AIFD (SAIFD) maintains chapters from 13 colleges and universities throughout the U.S. and allows students to learn more about the floral industry before joining the workforce.

In further efforts to reinforce its emphasis on design education, AIFD recently created an alliance with the private education sector, forming a membership category for such Education Partners.

Whether it be the National Symposium, International Design Forums, or its regional symposia and AIFD Across America workshops, the Institute's programs are universally regarded by the floral design industry as the foremost educational events in the world!

You can plan ahead for all of these exciting events by using our Calendar of Events.

Specifically, the Research Sub-committee oversees the continuing development and revision of the AIFD Book of Floral Terminology. Through special assignments for research and group discussions, collects, maintains, defines and refines information pertinent to floral designers. The Committee "Trenditorial" Sub-committee is also responsible for helping to bring the latest on trends in floral design to the members of AIFD.
