There are two sessions per day. Day One focuses on Arrangements Everyday and Sympathy and Day Two on Personal Flowers: To Wear and Carry. The fee covers both days and includes all flowers and materials. Please bring your basic tools.

Day One - Arrangements Everyday and Sympathy

This course is designed to acquaint the student with basic information about everyday designs, including: Sympathy Mechanics (Casket Pieces, Set Pieces, Funeral Sprays, Baskets and Mache and a Pall design) and Everyday Designs (Round Centerpiece, Loose Vase Design, Symmetrical Triangle and an Asymmetrical Triangle).

Day Two - Personal Flowers: To Wear or Carry

This course is designed to acquaint the student with personal flowers you carry or designs created to wear as floral jewelry. It covers the following categories: Care and Handling, Mechanics and Techniques, Flowers to Wear, Ribbons and Bows and Wedding Bouquets.

CFD

Each year, immediately prior to its National Symposium, the American Institute of Floral Designers will conduct a Professional Floral Design Evaluation (PDFE) session for floral designers seeking to gain membership into the Institute and to earn their "Certified Floral Designer (CFD)" status.
